HAPPY EARTH DAY

It is Earth Day today.. and I just want to focus your attention on the US governments sincere love for our dear earth. They built a great webpage to show off. Read about how the US federal government is "cleaning the air, promoting land conservation, and improving water quality" all because of earth day! This is why earth day is so great.

In case you were wondering, Walmart is not evil. They built a great webpage to show off how much they care. Apparantly they buy paper and enveloppes and donate them to soldiers overseas. If that's not civil service at its finest (by 5 people tied for title of 6th richest person in the world) then I don't know what is.

I should consider joining the army so I can get some freeee stationary. wheeeeeeee.

On a more sad note, Germany closed another nuclear power plant. Apparantly, nuclear energy cannot find acceptance with Germans because the plants have a huge potential for catastrophe and they produce toxic waste for all of eternity...

AND.. we couldn't find any evidence of Germans celebrating Earth Day!! (unlike the americanos) No webpage! Man they are lazy. Germany takes up space on the earth, they should really be more appreciative.

So... umm... Am I suppose to pick-up any sarcasm through those first two paragraphs? Becuase surely, you're smart enough to know that this is just a pretty wrapping, over a realy crappy present. I mean come on. The Bush Administration is focused on achieving meaningful results – cleaner air and water, and healthier lands and wildlife habitats. Is that why they dropped out of Kyoto? And Wal-Mart; really now. Haven't you ever heard of "PR"?

Yeah, "Happy Earth Day" - let's all get a giant card , get everyone to sign it, and prop it up on some deforestised piece of land where more than likely the trees that were used to make the card were taken from. ~ Cheers!

Sorry, that probably came out a bit... harsh.

*Note to self: Maybe you shouldn't post when you're feelig bitter*

I really hope you had a Happy Earth Day! Ciao :)

Sarcasm is pretty hard to convey in print form since it has a lot to do with intonation.

But I'm glad to hear you've finally come to your senses and realize that Wal-mart is awesome.

See? That was sarcastic and you didn't even know it!

Oh my god!

And JF, please don't think it's a sad thing that Germany closes another nuclear power plant. Nuclear energy is no answer for our planet in great danger.
